Sing-off starts at 7:30pm. $25 suggested donation includes a complimentary beverage. The lineup of esteemed judges and contestants—selected from our local community—will be announced Thursday, April 24! For more information about auction items or the Sing-Off, visit www.cathedralvoices.org.
Cathedral Voices Chamber Choir is raising money to support its education and outreach programs for the coming year, including their education program, Singing in the Schools. “Music Matters. It really does,” notes Laura Huckin, Artistic Director for Cathedral Voices Chamber Choir. “There are real, cognitive benefits to studying music. But the life-skills that students develop in the performing arts are also invaluable. We want to support singing in our schools, in every possible way.” Additional education initiatives include two programs for both youth and adults: Summer Sing!—a weekly workshop in July—and Going Solo—a vocal master class offered in Winter. Both are open to the public – no experience necessary.
“We believe everyone – both young and old – should have the opportunity to explore music as a means of personal expression,” commented Ms. Huckin. “and we can’t wait to share some great performances at this year’s Sing Off.”
