2018 Holiday Concerts Announced
Cathedral Voices like you’ve never seen them before

JACKSON, WY— Cathedral Voices Chamber Choir has performed plenty of holiday concerts in its 15 years, but you’ve never heard one like this before.

Cathedral Voices and the Jackson Hole Symphony Orchestra are proud to present “Harmony for the Holidays,” a free holiday concert that celebrates music and all its capabilities, Friday, December 14 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, December 16 at 4:00 pm at Walk Festival Hall.

This year’s concert is a delightful blend of traditional and contemporary. It honors tradition in many ways—like the long-standing tradition of collaborating with the Jackson Hole Symphony Orchestra and the Jackson Hole Brass Quintet, and traditional music including a Cantata by J.S. Bach. But it is also full of contemporary flare that is sure to delight audiences of all ages.

Audiences will surely recognize, for example, holiday classics such as Silent Night. But they’ve likely never heard them as arranged by Pentatonix, an award-winning acapella group that incorporates vocal percussion (aka, beatboxing) and vocal riffs into otherwise traditional songs.

The choir will also sing one song accompanied by chiming crystal glasses. Sharing a stage with the Jackson Hole Symphony Orchestra, Jackson Hole Brass Quintet, AND a special appearance from a children’s choir this year, the show is a true musical spectacle from start to finish.

“This concert is one of our favorites,” said Artistic Director Laura Huckin. “It’s such a wonderful way to welcome the holiday season, and everyone involved works hard to contribute to the magic.”

Plus, Huckin adds, “there’s no better place to enjoy festive music” than Walk Festival Hall.

Best of all, performances are FREE, but $10 suggested donations are greatly appreciated. Celebrate the season with Cathedral Voices Chamber Choir in their 15th Anniversary Season, alongside the Jackson Hole Symphony Orchestra and Jackson Hole Brass Quintet, for Harmony for the Holidays. Two chances to see the magic: Friday, December 14 at 7 p.m., and Sunday December 16 at 4 p.m. at Walk Festival Hall.
