Summer Sing! is Cathedral Voices’ enrichment program for active choral singers throughout Teton County and the surrounding areas. During the month of August, we offer individual and small group instruction to expand your personal knowledge, skills, and confidence as a singer.
Small Group Classes: sight singing and keyboard basics for the singer
Open Studio Time: use Cathedral Voices’ office studio for personal practice
Private Instruction: piano or voice lessons tailored to meet your needs
Sight Singing Fundamentals and Keyboard Basics are offered Monday evenings, August 3, 10, 17, and 24 at the Center for the Arts. Take one, or both.
Sight Singing Fundamentals, 7:00-7:30pm, 4-week session
Dust off your skills with this guided, step by step approach. Class will learn tips and tricks to increase your singing confidence. Lots of group practice with solfeggio and count-singing. Class workbook and accompaniment mp3s provided ($5 materials fee).
Keyboard Basics for the Singer, 7:30-8:00pm, 4-week session
Whether you know how to read staff notation or not, this small group course will provide an introduction to basic keyboard skills, helping singers learn how to identify and “plunk out” a melody. Notation, rhythm, and simple theory is incorporated into this hands-on class. Printed lesson materials provided.

Do you prefer one-on-one? Try private lessons with an instructor at the Center for the Arts. Thirty minute sessions are offered Mondays, August 3, 10, 17, and 24 at 5:00pm, 5:30pm, and 6:00pm.
Voice Lessons, 30-minutes, 4 weeks
Summer Sing voice lessons are designed to promote healthy vocal habits that support choral technique and artistry.

Piano Lessons, 30 minutes, 4 weeks
Want to focus on your piano skills instead? Never had a piano lesson before? No problem! Learn the fundamentals of the piano, or dig deeper into advanced repertoire. Lessons tailored to the specific needs and ability of each student.
Individual Lesson Rates, $30 per half-hour (2 lesson minimum).
