Artistic Director Laura HuckinLaura Huckin assumed directorship of Cathedral Voices in January 2009, after the departure of founding director Jo Stucky.  In her youth, Ms. Huckin studied classical piano under the tutelage of the late Margaret Witschard (Marylhurst University) and Julliard graduate Connie Grabow (Lawrence Arts Academy). She also accompanied and sang in chamber, concert, and jazz choir ensembles during high school and college in Wisconsin, Washington, and Utah.

Since moving to Wyoming in 2002, Ms. Huckin has been involved in music education and performance throughout Teton County with many arts organizations including the Jackson Hole Chorale, Jackson Community Theater, Big City Broadway, Grand Teton Music Festival, Jackson Hole Community Band, Off Square Theatre Company, and the Jackson Hole Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Huckin continues to work in various musical capacities, most frequently as a conductor and musical director.  An advocate for music education, Ms. Huckin also accompanies the Jackson Hole Middle School and High School choirs and teaches private piano in Star Valley and Jackson.

Ms. Huckin has a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Media Arts and served as Festival Director for the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival before joining Cathedral Voices. She recently served on the Board of Directors for Jackson Hole’s Center for the Arts and was honored for her contributions to the arts by receiving the Cultural Council of Jackson Hole’s Award for Creativity in 2014.
